Arcynia (“Arcynia”, “the site”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is operated by Injosoft. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit and play games on arcynia.com.
Arcynia is designed to be simple and privacy-friendly. You can play games without creating an account, logging in or providing personal information.
1. Information we collect
Arcynia does not require user accounts and we do not ask visitors to submit personal information in order to play games.
When you visit the site, our servers may automatically receive standard technical information, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and user-agent
- Referrer URL
- Pages requested
- Date and time of access
- Basic technical request data
This information is collected automatically as part of normal server operation. It is used for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, performance monitoring and general operation of the site.
We do not use server logs to identify individual visitors unless necessary for security, legal or technical reasons.
2. Cookies and browser storage
Arcynia may use a limited number of cookies and browser storage technologies.
Session cookies
A session cookie may be used for backoffice access, development preview gates or other technical functions. This cookie stores a session identifier only and is not used for advertising or visitor tracking. It is normally deleted when you close your browser.
Local storage
Arcynia may use your browser’s local storage to save game-related preferences and data, such as:
- Favorite games
- Game settings
- High scores
- Progress or temporary game data
For example, favorite games may be stored under a local storage key
such as arcynia.favorites.
Local storage data is stored on your own device and does not leave your browser unless a specific game or feature states otherwise.
You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for arcynia.com.
3. Analytics
Arcynia may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate.
Google Analytics may collect information such as:
- Pages visited
- Approximate location
- Device and browser information
- Referrer information
- Session duration
- Interaction events
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. The information is used to help us understand site usage, improve games, fix problems and make Arcynia better.
We do not use Google Analytics to personally identify visitors.
You can reduce or prevent analytics tracking by blocking cookies in your browser or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Games and locally stored game data
Arcynia games may store data locally in your browser, such as high scores, settings or progress.
This data is normally stored only on your device. It may be lost if you clear your browser data, change browser, use another device or if a game is updated.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, Arcynia does not centrally store your game progress or high scores.
5. Embedded content and iframes
Some game pages may display games or content inside iframes.
Where games are served from arcynia.com, they are part of the same site. However, each game may use its own local storage keys for scores, settings or progress.
If Arcynia ever embeds content from external third-party websites, those third parties may process data according to their own privacy policies.
6. Third-party services
Arcynia may load certain files from third-party providers, such as:
- Bootstrap
- Bootstrap Icons
- Google Fonts
- jsDelivr
- Other content delivery networks or technical services
When your browser requests files from these providers, they may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request timestamp.
These third-party services are used to display and operate the site properly. Their own privacy policies apply to their handling of data.
7. Advertising
Arcynia may display advertising in the future.
If third-party advertising is added, this Privacy Policy will be updated with information about the advertising provider, what data may be collected and how users can manage or opt out of personalized advertising where applicable.
As of the “Last updated” date above, Arcynia does not use third-party advertising unless stated otherwise on the site.
8. Legal basis for processing
If you are located in the EU/EEA, our legal basis for processing limited technical data may include:
- Legitimate interests, such as operating, securing and improving the site
- Consent, where required for optional cookies or analytics
- Legal obligations, where applicable
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
9. How long we keep data
Server logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and operational purposes.
Analytics data may be retained according to the settings configured in Google Analytics.
Local storage data remains on your own device until you delete it, clear browser data or the browser removes it.
10. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited technical data with service providers that help us operate the site, such as hosting providers, analytics providers or content delivery networks.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process or to protect the security and integrity of Arcynia.
11. International data transfers
Some third-party services used by Arcynia may process data outside Sweden or the EU/EEA.
Where applicable, such transfers are handled according to the safeguards provided by the relevant service providers.
12. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you may have rights under data protection law, including the right to:
- Access personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Because Arcynia does not require accounts and does not normally collect information tied to a user identity, some of these rights may be difficult to apply in practice. However, you are always welcome to contact us with questions.
13. Children
Arcynia is intended for general audiences and casual entertainment.
The site is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children’s use of online services and games. See our Parents & Guardians page for more on our approach to child safety.
14. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the site and its systems.
However, no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Arcynia is provided as an online service, and use of the site is at your own discretion.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Arcynia after changes are published means that you accept the updated policy.
16. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how Arcynia handles data, you can contact Injosoft through www.injosoft.se.
