Reaction-Diffusion Goo

Alien coral that grows, divides and eats itself, painted in neon.

A Gray-Scott reaction-diffusion simulation running on the GPU. Two chemicals feed on each other and diffuse at different rates, and out of that simple rule come living patterns. Dots split like cells while branches creep like coral, and where the two species meet they slowly consume one another. Click or drag to burn a hole in the pattern and sow new chemistry, then watch it grow back.
