Terminal Rain

Falling code in a language no one taught you. Somewhere in the noise a familiar word is waiting to be decrypted.

Terminal Rain reimagines the classic digital rain with an alphabet of its own. Every glyph is an Arcynia rune, procedurally grown from angular stroke segments and prerendered to a sprite atlas in three shades, a blazing head, a glowing body and a fading echo. Click anywhere and the storm gives up a secret. The runes flicker, cycle and lock into plaintext, spelling out fragments of the Arcynia world such as THE GRID, WAKE UP, LOST PIXELS or PRESS START before dissolving back into cipher. Eleven weather systems change how the code falls. RAIN is the classic downpour while SIDE streams across the screen and RISE climbs like sparks. WIND drifts in gusts, CROSS collides two currents, STORM rages with lightning, GHOST barely whispers, PULSE sweeps a scanner wave that reveals the hidden lattice, GLITCH corrupts whole rows, BREACH bends the rain around the Arcynia logo and FLOOD stacks the fallen glyphs into a rising tide. Four color worlds let you tune the signal, cold cyan, classic terminal green, hot magenta or a full rainbow drifting across the storm.
