Twister
Pillars twist like licorice sticks, winding several full turns as they spin around their own axis.
A beloved staple of the Amiga scene, built the way the originals were. Each pillar is a square bar drawn one scanline at a time, and every line gets its own twist angle, so the bar winds several full turns from top to bottom like a tightly twisted stick of licorice. Four fixed shades rotate around the bar so every facet stays distinct, a thin seam of light runs unbroken along each edge, and the whole column spins steadily around its own vertical axis while the facets sweep across it.
The buttons choose the arrangement. SOLO is one thick pillar center stage. TRIO layers three bars in violet, magenta and cyan that sway past each other in parallax, each with its own twist density. QUINT fills the screen with five candy sticks in five colors, the closer they are the tighter they wind.
Click anywhere to give every pillar a kick of extra spin and watch them wind back down.
