Vector Balls

Shaded spheres locked in rotating formations, the signature move of the golden Amiga era. Flip on UNLIMITED and the balls are never erased again.

Vector Balls recreates the classic demoscene showpiece with palette shaded spheres rendered exactly like the old blitter objects. Every ball is drawn from a prerendered ramp of sixteen depth shades, sorted back to front and scaled by perspective, so the formations read as solid 3D while they tumble. Ten formations are on the buttons. RING spins a chain of pearls, SPIRAL coils a glowing spring, HELIX winds a two colored DNA strand with rungs between the spines, CUBE tumbles a full lattice, SPHERE scatters balls evenly across a globe, WAVE rolls ripples through a carpet, TORUS builds a donut of beaded rings, KNOT ties a trefoil rope, ATOM circles three electron orbits around a magenta nucleus and PYRAMID stacks a stepped monument with a magenta capstone. The UNLIMITED toggle unleashes the legendary trick where the screen never clears, letting the rotating formation sweep out massive translucent volumes before a soft wipe resets the canvas. Tap to give the rotation a push.
