Glenz Vectors

Transparent glass polyhedra spin like neon jewels, every face glowing through every other.

A jewel from the golden age of Amiga vector demos. Glenz vectors are polyhedra drawn as if made of colored glass, where every face is rendered front and back alike, and the light of each one adds to the light of the others. The result is a gem that glows from within, flashing white whenever a facet turns to catch your eye.

The buttons switch between ten stones. A stretched brilliant cut gem, a cube, an octahedron, a twenty faced icosahedron, a tetrahedron, a dodecahedron with its twelve pentagon windows, a star of two interpenetrating tetrahedra that blazes white at its heart, a prism, a twisted antiprism, and a full glass torus where more than a hundred facets shine through each other in a ring of rainbow light.

The hues drift slowly around the spectrum, so the same stone never wears the same colors twice. Click anywhere to knock the jewel into a tumbling spin and watch it settle back into its slow rotation. Pure hand written 3D math, not a single library.
